The Story of Jessi Park
Jessi Park did not come to perfumery through the conventional routes. A self-taught creator who learned by doing, she pushed herself deeper into the craft after a humble question—how hard could it be?—opened the door to something far more complex and rewarding than she expected. A transformative month-long course in Thailand refined her instincts, building on years of exploration and hands-on experimentation. Before perfume claimed her, Park was already an internationally collected visual artist, and she brought that multidisciplinary eye to fragrance. She founded Elysian Parfum in 2019, a female-owned American fragrance house, as a tribute to her late sister, whose love of scent and memory became the emotional spine of the brand. The loss informed everything: the desire to create something lasting, evocative, and deeply personal.
Philosophy
Park sees fragrance as a translator of nature itself, converting raw materials into stories that speak across borders, cultures, and time. She treats each scent as a bridge between people and their most visceral memories, a medium that reaches parts of the heart language cannot. Her goal is not merely to make something beautiful but to create work that stirs something real—something that brings wearers closer to their dreams, their memories, and the people they love.
